Run For Your Lives World Tour

Iron Maiden Amsterdam 2026

Ziggo Dome 2026-06-10 Amsterdam, Netherlands

My rating what's this?

Clear vocals and solid instrumental separation earn an 8, but the flattened sound lacks depth, space and the scale of a live show.

Step 1 of 4. What you're looking at

This is a bootleg, not the official live album. The actual night itself, recorded from inside the crowd, with the mistakes and the roar left in. This is the concert as it really sounded, before anyone cleaned it up.

// The bootleg

The recording feels short on space, as if the sound has been flattened. The vocal comes through very clearly and every instrument remains reasonably well separated, but the scale of a live show never really opens up.

It lacks depth, space and that sense of concert grandeur. I still give it an 8.

// Release notes

Pretty good audience recording made by RvdZ using an Tascam DR-40XP Recorded on the second ring in the back of the arena (2007) The complete wave file is send to me by wetransfer, day or two after the show. ( I checked if it was Lossless) The recording was only on the left channel, so I dubbed it to the right channel to create a dubbel mono recording I used Audacity for dubbing, normalizing, boosting and for a fade in and out. I left everything as it was recorded. No EQ is used (My ears are not yours, so for personal taste use your Equalizer) I used CDwave to split the played songs I Used Traders Little Helper to convert it to Flac (Level 6) and making checksums All things above, except recording are done by Rob Hanemaaijer

// The night

The Run For Your Lives tour returned to the Netherlands for a packed night at the Ziggo Dome, with Evergrey opening. Podiuminfo described flying beer, mosh pits, passionate singalongs and hands sore from clapping, while Lust For Life called it an old-fashioned metal party. During 'The Trooper', Bruce Dickinson carried the Dutch flag as Eddie returned to the stage.

The rating

The rating is mine, and it is the only quality mark here. The number from 1 to 10 next to a recording is my own listening judgement: how much I enjoy putting it on, everything weighed together.

I do not hand out an "objective" grade, because nobody can grade a live recording objectively. One collector's ears are not another's.

A tape can be clean and still rate lower if it leaves me cold, or rate high in spite of its flaws because it captures the night. Higher means I reach for it more often.

Take it as one ear, then trust your own.
