IRON MAIDEN - MUNICH 1983 SOUNDBOARD (2CD) [ZODIAC 703] Olympiahalle, Munich, Germany 30th November 1983 STEREO SBD(from Original Masters) The biggest event of 2024...no, the biggest event in the history of Maiden recordings has occurred! Finally, the soundboard album that will serve as the official replacement for the "PIECE OF MIND" era has been born! The amazing new excavation live album that will allow you to experience the soundboard for the first time even of "To Tame A Land" has been decided to be released urgently on Press 2CD! [The first appearance of the soundboard "1983 version of the dead resurrection"] What is engraved in this work is the "Munich performance on November 30, 1983". It is a stereo soundboard recording. I don't know how to put this emotion into words. To be honest, this work is the "1983 version of the dead spirit resurrection". The "MAIDEN collector's dream", which was thought to never come true, has suddenly become a reality. IRON MAIDEN is a band with a well-archived official/unofficial archive, and there are official (or official-class) full soundboards for most tours. However, the "PIECE OF MIND" era is an exception. The only soundboard is the professional shot audio from the Dortmund performance that was made official in "THE EARLY DAYS", but it was less than 40 minutes long. However, the newly excavated Munich soundboard is about 93 minutes long. This even surpasses the video versions of "Resurrection of the Dead" and "Maiden England"! Moreover, it is not only long but also very rich. It also contains rare songs that were only available at that time. Let's organize the contents of the set here. ● Brain Reform (6 songs) Where Eagles Dare (★★) / The Trooper / Revelations / Flight Of Icarus / Die With Your Boots On (★) / To Tame A Land (★★★) ● Others (8 songs) Diano era: Sanctuary / Wrathchild (★) / Iron Maiden / Drifter (★★: ending missing) Magical Seal: 22 Acacia Avenue / The Number Of The Beast (beginning missing) / Hallowed Be Thy Name (★) / Run To The Hills *Note: The "★" mark indicates a song that was not included in the official "THE EARLY DAYS" Dortmund video. In particular, the "★★" mark indicates a song that did not have a soundboard with the same lineup. The "★★★" mark indicates the first all-time soundboard. ... and so on. In fact, strictly speaking, this work is not completely full, and there are recording omissions at the beginning of "The Number Of The Beast" and the ending of "Drifter". However, even though there are some gaps, this is all the songs on that day, and "Drifter" is not usually played, but was a song specially added to the end of the encore on this day. Moreover, "Drifter" alone has been recorded for more than 8 minutes (probably the tape ran out due to an unexpected long performance). And "Drifter" and "Where Eagles Dare" are also really delicious. "Drifter" will be sealed for 22 years after this tour, and when "Where Eagles Dare" was re-performed in 1986 "Somewhere On Tour", the sound board was not left, and the next one was in 1993 during the Janick Gers era. In other words, this is the first time that "Adrian & Nico's sound board" has been realized for both songs. And, and, and! The biggest attraction is "To Tame A Land"!!! This dramatic song is the origin of "Dark Voyage", "Alexander the Great" and "The Seventh Prophecy", and has only been performed on the "World Piece Tour". The day has finally come when you can experience the sound board of that famous song, which has never had a sound board before! [Official-grade sound despite being directly connected to the console] I was so shocked that I completely missed writing about it, but the sound of this work is also amazing. Frankly, it's "completely official grade". Although the rawness of the direct mix table is obviously intense, the actual official products "A REAL LIVE ONE" and "LIVE AT DONINGTON" are much rougher (lol). The vividness and tone are just like BLACK SABBATH's "DEFINITIVE VIENNA 1989 (Zodiac 324)", but there is no noise in this work. The mix balance is also beautifully balanced, so maybe the official release was also considered. Well, even so, 2024 has become an incredible year. I went to see "Alexander The Great" at the recent Japan tour, but I never thought I would be able to experience "To Tame A Land" on a soundboard. This is a soundboard album that should be collected alongside "BEAST OVER HAMMERSMITH", "LIVE AFTER DEATH" and "MAIDEN ENGLAND". This is an absolute work that you should face with all your heart and soul! UP THE IRONS!!! ★Stereo soundboard recording of the "Munich performance on November 30, 1983". A shocking new excavation master, with official quality. Not only can you listen to "Where Eagles Dare" and "Drifter" with Adrian/Nico arrangement, but it also includes the big song "To Tame A Land", which has never had a soundboard before. This is an absolute work that deserves to be called "the 1983 version of the dead resurrection", and the biggest event in the history of Maiden recordings is born. Disc:1 (46:02) 1.
